On November 18th, APA released seven new bows for 2012. True to tradition, APA has stuck to snake theme with all new King Cobras, Sidewinders, Vipers and Mambas. The 2012 offerings include ATAs of 29″ to 39″ and draw lengths out to 33″. There should be something to fit almost everyone’s needs, so check them out on the APA Innovations page.
Alpine Archery
Alpine’s homepage has some info on their 2012 bows, though the official catalog and all the specs are not available. They are bringing bad the Silverado, which I personally think is a really nice looking bow and I was obviously not alone. The Nitrous is back again from last year in an updated version along with several other updates to last year’s bows. More details to come as I prep and launch the Alpine specific page in the near future.
Athens Archery
Athens has been teasing various forum readers with tidbits of information on the upcoming release of the “Recluse.” Apparently this bow will be released soon; stayed tuned for details!
Bear has released their 2012 line that features the all-new Anarchy bow, along with a bow for the ladies called the Siren. There are a handful of other bows and changes, so check out the 2012 Bear Archery Page for all the details.
On October 31st the Bowtech website was updated to show the Assassin SD as part of the new Bowtech line. It appears to basically be a re-badged version of the Heartbreaker, but with a top draw weight of 70 lbs. over the Heartbreaker’s 60 lbs.
At the ATA show on January 10th, 2012, Bowtech revealed two new bows, the Insanity CPX and the Insanity CPXL. These bows are built upon the idea of last year’s Invasion. The CPX is a short speed demon at 32″ ATA, 6″ brace and 355 fps while the CPXL is a longer bow at 35″ ATA, 7″ brace and 340 fps.
The D340 is gone from the line with it appearing like the Insanity CPXL is meant to fill its void.
Darton Archery’s lineup for 2012 brings one new bow to the table, the DS-3900. This new bow is directly based off of the DS-3800 but in a more compact package.
Diamond Archery
It appears that Diamond Archery will be sticking with the same lineup as last year. Check them out at that 2011 Diamond Archery Page.
On September 28, Elite Archery released the information on their 2012 line. There is a one new bow, the “Answer” that sports a new cam and is rated at 340 fps with a 33 1/2″ ATA. All of last year’s bows are returning with a handful of improvements including changes to the cable guard and string suppressor. Hit the link above for full details!
High Country Archery
No word from High Country yet.
Actual information on Hoyt’s 2012 line was released on October 19th. New for the year is the Vector series of bows that includes the 32, 35 and Turbo versions. The Vectors features the new RKT cam which is an updated version of the Fuel Cam. The Carbon Matrix and Carbon Element, as well as the Alpha Elite, both get the new RKT cam as well.
Sticking around for another year are last year’s very popular CRX series along with the very economical Rampage and Rampage XT, Prohawk and Ruckus. Besides the change to the RKT cam on the Alpha Elite, it appears that the target line also featuring the Vantage and Contender series is unchanged.

K&K Archery
As with everything Kevin Strother related, there are rumors flying all over the place and not much for sure to say. Apparently he is working on some top secret stuff that will be released near the beginning of 2012.
Mathews has now released both the Heli-M, an extremely lightweight version of the Z7, and the Jewel, a bow geared squarely at women shooters based off of the Z7 Extreme. Martin Archery

The highlights look to be the new Bengal Pro with the Fury XT single came (320-330 FPS) and quad, built-in Vibration Vortec dampers. There is also the new Cougar FC Pro that comes in both a single and dual cam version, with speed up to 345 FPS.
Mission is introducing two new bows for 2012, the Rally and the Riot. The Rally is a dual-cam bow with more traditional style limbs (non-parallel) that has an amazing range of draw lengths and weights, from 22″ to 30″ and 26 lbs. to 70 lbs. It has a generous ATA of 37″ and a brace height of 7 1/4″, reaching max speeds of 300 FPS. All this for $499.
The Riot is a shorter bow in the same vein as the Rally, but with parallel limbs and obviously aimed squarely at hunters who want a ton of adjustability. It has a range of 19″ to 30″ and 15 lbs. to 70 lbs. With an ATA of 31″, brace height of 7″ with speeds up to 310 FPS, it retails for $399.

New Breed Archery has released a full line for 2012, expanding on their two bows for last year. Back are the Genetix and Cyborg, but with updated Bionix 2.0 cams and the Genetix gets split limbs this year. New for the company are the Eclipse, Lycan, Horizon, Double Helix and Spawn. The Eclipse is a mid-lengths speed bow, the Lycan a shorter hunting bow and the Horizon will satisfy target shooters who like a longer ATA. The Double Helix will be especially attractive to target and 3D shooters with its shoot through riser system; the Spawn is a new youth bow.
Last year Obsession Archery was a little heard about company in the southeast USA that had only one bow for sale. This year they are taking the leap to a line of four different bows. Not only did they release a full line of bows, they also claim to have the fastest 7? brace height bow, clocking in at a true 345 fps. Check out all the details on this new comer at the link above!
Prime has released information on their 2012 bows. Both the Centroid and the Shift are back for 2012, with some improvements in riser stiffness while losing some weight in the process. Check out the link above for full details.
On October 3rd 2012, PSE released information on their new bows on their Facebook page. So far the main PSE website has not been updated.
There are a handful of newcomers and improvements to some old favorites. The most notable changes to the line are the new Evo 7 and a bow called the Stiletto for the ladies. There are also additions to the Bow Madness series, a new “Freak” for people with NBA style wingspans and the super short Revenge. Hit the link above for more details.
Quest has released two new bows for 2012, the Torrent and Rogue and have discontinued the Smoke and Hammer. Along with and used on the tow new bows is the new Fluid Cam that features a single rotating module for draw length adjustments, without having to use a press.
Strother Archery is still in its infancy but for 2012 they released an impressive bunch of bows. The four production bows do a great job at covering nearly every configuration an archery could want. From the speed of the SX Rush to the Hope for the ladies, the long ATA of the Moxie and 8″ brace height of the Wrath, this lineup has something for everyone.
Winchester has released two new bows for 2012, the Lightning and the Minx. As their names may indicated, one is a speed demon the other is geared for the ladies. With these bows come a handful of new technologies including the 4TracSS cam that minimizes the chance for cam lean, a horizontally adjustable roller guard and the Pro Link Pocket System (PPS) that eliminates the traditional limb bolt.
